Let's face it..sometimes life gives us way more than we can
handle..right?
Other than scrapbooking, what do you do to relax when it gets to be
too much? Pray? Yoga? Read? Hot bath?
I like to pray and I used to do yoga every day...not so much
anymore as I can't find the time.

Life more then we can handle ... really .... lol ...
I do not know if I pray as much as I would say I meditate and
talk to God ....I am not reciting the Hail Mary or the Our
Father, or readingthe scriptures .... even though I finish with a
prayer.... its more of a light a candle, close my eyes and say
God we need to chat .... Lighting a candle is a mere way for me
to stay focus and clear my mind ....
I would not survive my weeks, especially at Pillar if I did not
take kickboxing 2x a week ... the fustration release is
incredible ....
and when all else fails ... I drive. Music is blarring and I
drive ... maybe twords the ocean or an empty highway ... but the
confinement of the car makes me think that no other problems of
life can hit me ...

Definately pray-when it seems I can't bear things on my own I
remember that I can't-that we need the strength from God-this world
can be waaay to hard to go it alone
Then I retreat and hunker down with DH r watch a movie with the
DD
oh, and shopping!!

Read, hot baths, music, walk the dog...or a damned good cry (sadly
I seem to be doing a lot of this last one at the moment).

So sorry you are feeling blue Suzy, I hnpe it passes soon! I am a
cryer as well. I usually turn to prayer and music. But in all
honesty, I turn to Tim and ask him to hold me. That always
works.!

Generally life does not get the best of me but I do remember
sleepless nights caused by stress - usually work related. When
possible I confront whatever is causing my stress and angst because
if I don't, then I don't sleep. If I don't sleep, I don't function.
But there are always things in life that are beyond our control as
hard as we may try to stay in control. One of my big coping
mechanisms is to crawl into myself. You might find me sitting in my
chair with a blank look on my face, total silence. I am processing
and I need this alone time to keep my head straight. I don't want
to talk, I don't want to do anything other than sit and think and
be alone. I love alone time. I also love music and will turn to
that to pull myself out of a bad mood.

Awwww Amy that is sooo sweet ....
Silence scares me Maggi .. I can not do silence ... silence means
I am left with my own thoughts and I do not think that is a good
thing ... I do not fall alseep ( when I do sleep) without music/
meditation tape/television ... I need noise 24/7
Long hot baths always work too ...

Thanks for the positive thoughts girls..still feeling a bit weepy
but I haven's cried much this week.
I sometimes need the "alone" time like Maggi too - I think her
description was perfect.

This has been me.. and well is me too! lol
I need quite time to focus on how to get things back on track.. I
look at the situation or many of them which seems to be of late..
and try to figure out solutions to the problems..
I do pray too.. But I tend to carry my burdin for a long while
before I just let it go.. Even if its something I know in my
heart that I cannot fix or resolve.. I think it buggs me that I
can't so I will still hold on to it..

God take handle of it.

Big hugs to everyone, I know life can be hard. What I do besides
scrapbooking is going outside to a park, getting a nice shady spot
and letting the air breeze and hit my face, its relaxing, and
relieves me of stress...makes me forget. There is nothing like
nature to heal you.
