Flying Unicorn

Hi everyone! It is my turn for the MMU and I have some Altered Jars to share with you. These are so so simple to make and I love the way they turned out. Mine are both made with a flat sided old candle jar. Flat sides work the BEST for this as you can add the paper easily.

1. First pick out your jar…and remember try to find a flat sided one they are easier to cover. Most canning jars would work great as well. Mine both have a lid but yours does not have to.
2. First cover your jar with paper. I have inked the edges on top and bottom.
3. Next up I just started to add some lace and trims on top of the paper layer.
4. My last bits I added are some pretty flowers, and some chippy pieces.
5. You can use what ever glue works for you, I have used a few different kinds to put them together.
6. If you have a lid to cover make sure it fits on before you cover the jar with paper. If it looks like it will be too tight with the paper layer well then just cut the paper down a bit so the lid still fits. I have covered my lids with a few matching goodies.
7. Have fun making an Altered Jar. I have put candles in mine but I think I will make a smaller one for my buttons on my desk.

My first one is with G45 from the store here. I have added some metal Prima flowers, chip board cogs from Dusty Attic and made a matching tray with the July KOM.

My second jar is very similar and I have used a Prima collection from the store.

I have one more candle jar almost burnt down LOL! I think I will make the next one to hold my buttons in ...I can never find them when I need them!!!! and thanks everyone...these really were fun to make :)
